    Using Primary as Secondary also

Just leave it in the primary. Secondary is not necessary. I think its only good to secondary to add fruit or long term aging.

Coriander and Orange peel - Leave them in???

I left them in for the primary and then filtered out into secondary and or keg. Turned out perfect the first time. Edit* Just looked at my notes.... We tossed the wort into bottling bucket and let the seed and peel fall beneath the spout and whatever made it through was left in; then...

Help! Vigourous ferment pressurizing bucket (w/blowoff hose!)

Help! Vigourous ferment pressurizing bucket (w/blowoff hose!)

If bucket is expanding on the top; the blow off hose or air lock is clogged. Pop it off clean sanitize reattach. There is enough gas coming out to worry about anything getting in. Be careful taking it off. The whiff of gases can be brutal :P

    Winter brewing in garage

Alot of people do not know a properly burning flame creates very little to no Carbon monoxide. Yellow flame = bad.

    Winter brewing in garage

Just install a powered attic vent in the garage. If finished just pipe it down. Slap a Carbon monoxide detector on the wall and goto town.

    Gravity, fermentation and retardation

Your post was fine. Retardation is a perfectly acceptable word. And yes we have a mentally handicap person in our family. You know what makes him feel out of place?? It's when politically correct people throw a fit about it. It only offends those who want it to be offensive. Your not...
