I bought the bottle washer that has a tube cleaning attachment on it and it works nice with hot water. I can't seem to get the build-up out of the middle of my blow-off hose though. My bottle brushes won't reach the center and the krausen is just caked there.

I like the idea here...Because for big beers, you can theoretically keep adding more chilled wort to increase the size of the starter, therby giving the yeast more food to repro.

One downside is the amount of water it takes to quickly chill the 5Gal...I've noticed an all-around improvement otherwise.

My personal favorite is Woodford Reserve. But yes, I had bought Maker's for soaking the oak cubes that went into my imp stout. Jim Beam holds a special place in my heart and I curse those who belittle such a swell bourbon. :cross:
