I think this is the issue:
It seems the previous owner cut a chunk out of this for some reason. Can I replace the entire striping(lowes?) or patch this somehow? My guess would be when it gets humid ice builds up inside and when it cools back down(the last couple of days) the ice melted.
Yeah, I don't see any ice or water on the outside I just see puddles all around(like 1-2 liters). There were puddles in it too so I'm guessing it drained out the bottom.
I don't see a drain plug in there.
I'm wondering if ice formed in there and it just melted? Is this normal, I was going to build it into a cabinet but if it's going to leak water I wont be able to do this.
I racked to the primary on Wed and it's going full throttle right now. My plan was to have this ready to bottle/drink on the 15th of July so what should be my plan of action? Here is my plan..what should I change(if anything)?
- Let it sit in primary until the 7th of July.
- Rack to...
Interesting, didn't know lines made a difference. They're pretty short, I would say 2 maybe 3 feet. This makes sense too since one is really bad and one is kinda bad....
My regulator is only set for around 11psi but I get about 2/3 head on my beer. How can I lower this, should I release all the co2 in the kegs, lower the regulator and it will fix itself?
I've made a kit twice now and I love it so my plan is to keep making a keg of that and using my other corny to experiment with. The reason I'm planning this is my current two taps are not that great so I have to suffer through them before I can rack a new beer and I wont allow anyone to try...
Hmm, yeah, I chilled it down to about 90 which took 40 minuts and then added the water which only brought it down to 75. Might need to invest in a wort chiller. :-(
Should I try to get it as low as possible before mixing in water? It seem if I mix my 2g with 3g of cold water from the tap I can reach that 70 degree mark much faster. No?
This kit came with orange/lemon to dump in during the boil...should I try to filter it out before I leave it sit for a couple of weeks in the fermentor?
The chest freezer is around $250 while I can get a mini fridge for around $120. Material to build the chamber around the fridge might run another $50 so it's cheaper and I would build it to fit everything correctly so it seems to be the better option but I'm worried I wont be able to lower the...
