    Kegerator Kit from Ebay...need advice

Yeah, I've been planning on going through Keg Connection, but this kit is $50 cheaper than the one from them. Is this a case of you get what you pay for, or do they look basically the same? And Beer Nut is quite a bit more expensive, and although I do love their selection and one of the guys...

    Kegerator Kit from Ebay...need advice

OK, so I've been trying to price kegerator kits now that Christmas is over, and still no kegs :( I found this one from the Beverage Factory It doesn't come with Kegs, but I have a cheap source locally or can get them from the guy that was posting on here for very reasonable pricing. What I'm...

    Orfy's Hob Goblin

I've had a Hob Goblin twice, and both times wasn't too impressed. My buddy is a huge fan, and said that you can't just the Hob by the canned version we get. Is there a real difference? I didn't think it had much flavor really.

Foamy top on beer in Primary. Ready for Secondary?

Yeah, kind of what I figured. Just getting impatient as always, and wanted to get her bottled before I leave. Oh well, maybe I'll be able to keg before it's ready! Woohoo!

Foamy top on beer in Primary. Ready for Secondary?

Sorry, I guess more info would've been helpful. It's O'Flannagains Standard stout recipe. I hit his OG on the money, (.046) and it's been at .015 since Monday. He says in the recipe that he goes from Boil to Bottle in 12days, and it has been exactly that long. I'm leaving for Oregon tomorrow for...

Foamy top on beer in Primary. Ready for Secondary?

If my beer, a Stout, still has a little frothiness on top but seems to be done fermenting, is it ok to rack to secondary?

    5 Gallon Recipe's....5 drinkable gallons??

And how exactly do I do this in Beersmith? I can't seem to figure out how to just adjust the batch size and have it adjust my ingredients? Is this possible?

    5 Gallon Recipe's....5 drinkable gallons??

OK, so something sort of perplexes me about recipe formulation. Are most recipe's written to give you 5gallons in the primary? Not taking into consideration trub loss? I'd really like to get 5 drinkable gallons everytime I brew. Do I need to adjust a majority of recipes to 5.5 gallons or even 6?

    Polish Pierogi

My Mom always made the stuffed cabbage growing up. She called the Galumpies, or something like that. Pretty much same recipe as you posted

    Monster Mill in the House!

That looks awesome man! After kegging equipment is taken care of (come on Santa!), I'll be getting one of these I've decided. I like the idea of a mobile table like you built there.

What size bit to drill lid for fermenting bucket?

I have a ton of 4gallon food grade plastic buckets, and I would like to make use of them for smaller batches. I need to drill the lids though, and was wondering if anyone knows what size bit I'd want to use for common stoppers?

Bust A Nut Brown Ale (AG)

Awesome. I've been thinking about doing a clone of Rogue's Hazelnut Brown Nectar, but I wanted to start with an easier more basic Nut Brown. Just got back from the LHBS and got everything with a couple of substitutions. They were out of Nottinghams, so I'm gonna use Safale US-05. They were out...

    Flannagan's Bad Cow Stout

Where did you get this cocoa from? Any particular reason you used this brand? Looks rather expensive, $10 for one bag, but if it's worth it....I'm game.

    Irish Stout Ó Flannagáin Standard

Mine sure is fermenting out fast! I had the largest, fluffiest krausen that I've ever gotten on a beer with this. It has now dropped. I think I'll give it a hydro test when I get home from work. Hopefully I'll be able to bottle this next week before I fly out to Oregon for XMas.

    My favorite season for beer!

I love Rogue's Santa's Private Reserve. Best Holiday beer, IMO. Damn Utah....I can't get so much stuff here.

Mr Beer - Read all about it and ask questions

Wow BierMuncher! 3,966 posts in under a year? That's an impressive commitment, addiction, etc....whatever you want to call it :)

    Irish Stout Ó Flannagáin Standard

If you were going to do an Oatmeal Stout with this basic recipe, would you just replace the Flaked Barley with Flaked Oats? Any other adjustments that I should plan on making? I think I may try and do a small oatmeal stout batch (2-3gallons) on the yeast cake once I pull this out of the Primary...
