    Sanitizing Solution

Never used Iodine but have used Starsan since day one with no issues (knocking on wood) but seriously the stuff is like brew magic gold in bottle. I usually mix up 2 or so diluted gallons of the stuff for brew day and throw everything that needs to be sanitized in there, then at the end i fill...

    Palate Training Kit?

Do any kit's exist out there to further train the palate for tasting beer and being able to pin point certain flavors and off flavors such as Diacetyl. I've seen a kit with a bunch of hops which i'm really not interested in, more interested in something judges might use or train with so I can...

    50L eKeggle

Does anyone on here have experience with converting 50L kegs into eKeggles. I'm trying to select RIPP elements for the BK and HLT and am concerned with the interior dimensions being to small to accommodate most. I'm not sure how much clearance is needed between the wall of the keg and the element.

Next Purchases towards my RIMS build

I'm currently in the process of slowly purchasing all the parts for my eRIMS setup and am ready to buy the 3 PID controllers and thermocouples. For the BK i plan on using the TC-K6 model from auber. As far as the heat exchange chamber are you guys using a longer probe such as this one...

Prolly a little overkill but hey even the wife approves now!!!! Here is a link to the rest that shows the progress from start to finish, took about 5 months and lots of long hours and 4 kegs of homebrew! http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2029740&id=1247055577&l=6a0da80f13

13.2 Gallon Keg to Keggle Conversion

I recently acquired some 50L/13.3g kegs myself. I also used 4.5 inch angle grinder to cut out the top and found that due to the top outter rim this allowed me to cut about a 10.5 inch circle from the top. I didn't try to enlarge the hole by using my dremel but would be curious to know if that...

Brewing 5gal batch with 10 gal setup

LOL yea I was hoping that was the case! I just wasn't sure if the volume to kettle size would be an issue with faster boil off or what not. I just want to be able to brew a smaller batch if necessary when I'm trying a crazy experimental. Cheers!

Brewing 5gal batch with 10 gal setup

Hi all i've been lurking on here for a while now absorbing as much as I could over the last year or so, figured it was time to start posting and contributing. Now that i've been brewing for a little over a year I've decided to start slowly building a better system for AG, plus I was able to...
