    I use 4oz of American Medium oak chips for 5 gallons of my Oak Aged Bourbon Porter. Ends up around 13%.

    Tanks are not cleaned. There is no oil in the CO2 and it can be filled at a sporting goods store.

    Transferring from primary to secondary

    Secondary is fine. Just be sure to sanitize and siphon gently so the trub isn't disturbed and O2 isn't added into the brew.

    Warmer Weather Beers?

    Yeah, our Spring was on Monday. The rest of the country gets a much longer Spring... We get one day. My warm weather brews are Kolsch, blondes, ambers, reds, browns, and APAs.

    All good advice from previous posters. Drew Estates used to have some spectacular smokes like the White Rabbit Maduro (which went great with a Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout) but the line died out some years ago. I haven't been back since. Coolidors and tupperdors are the best way to start...
