Thanks for the suggestion. Used a wire brush attachment with my cordless drill. Works ok on stripping small sections of paint and taking the surface rust down. Not so great on the big stuff. Tried naval jelly (sitting about 45 mins) on the deeper rust spots, but it doesn't seem to be doing...

Scored this freezer off of Craigslist for $100. Light to moderate rust, clean on the inside, but dirty on the outside with mildew/mold on the seal. Fridge was listed as a 9ft3, but it's roughly 4 x 3 x 2, which brings it to 24ft3

There's already an aftermarket analog temp controller, but I plan to bypass it and use an external Ranco. It's been outside for a while, I'm guessing, judging by the rust, dirt, and leaves jammed in here.

This game is incredible! Haven't touched WoW in weeks, and haven't brewed since November 13th. It'll be a sad day when the last two kegs run dry and there's nothing in the pipeline.

No, went to Clifton since I was already in Centreville. Taking 66 to Falls Church is too much of a battle for me. :) Also, the proprietor's really into UK ales, so he had the WLP equivalent to the original Wyeast strain, but suggested the substitution to London ale yeast.

Finally got to the LHBS. I elected to go the liquid route, but they didn't have Wyeast, so I ended up with WLP013. Will see how it works out.

Thanks for sharing. Haven't had this happen w/ the picnic taps, but better safe than sorry...will remove them for future force carbing.

I try to be fastidious about sanitation (PBW soak followed by running Star San through the keg and tap), but will store it in the fridge if I can. It's actually a present, so I'm hoping to be tapping this by Christmas!
