I disagree, but understand where you're coming from if you're in the legal system. Bottom line is you have to do what you believe is right. Hell, at least you care about your kids unlike some parents.
That said, my dad gave me a sip of beer when I was 5. I think it was Bud. He never had to...
Just a followup.
Had this on Thanksgiving. It was nice, but not great. I was a little let down, and didn't draft more than a few pints.
Well, we finished it off with Christmas dinner and it was a HUGE hit. It was damn good and apparently just needed more time to mature. I'd definitely...
Thanks for the suggestion. Used a wire brush attachment with my cordless drill. Works ok on stripping small sections of paint and taking the surface rust down. Not so great on the big stuff.
Tried naval jelly (sitting about 45 mins) on the deeper rust spots, but it doesn't seem to be doing...
Is there a chemical substitute for sanding? To be frank, washing the freezer today made me want to pop a few Vicodin and take a nap. Under different circumstances, I'd do exactly what you recommended.
We'll figure something out if there's no alternative. Just trying to avoid unnecessary pain...
Is yours a preexisting problem or from condensation (or both)? I noticed mine had a good sized pool of water after holding above freezing for a few days.
Unless I hear otherwise, I'm going to pick up a quart of Rust-Oleum from Lowes tomorrow and try treating with that. Will let you know how it...
Paid too much for an old, nasty 15' cu freezer on Craigslist. Been reading threads on restoration, including JoeC's Monsterator, but there doesn't seem to be a consensus on dealing with rust.
Wondering if I can just clean it up with soap/bleach and use this for rust abatement? Or do I still...
Scored this freezer off of Craigslist for $100. Light to moderate rust, clean on the inside, but dirty on the outside with mildew/mold on the seal. Fridge was listed as a 9ft3, but it's roughly 4 x 3 x 2, which brings it to 24ft3
There's already an aftermarket analog temp controller, but I plan to bypass it and use an external Ranco. It's been outside for a while, I'm guessing, judging by the rust, dirt, and leaves jammed in here.
This game is incredible! Haven't touched WoW in weeks, and haven't brewed since November 13th. It'll be a sad day when the last two kegs run dry and there's nothing in the pipeline.
Went to keg this last week....it smelled horrible and didn't taste much better, but no sign of infection, so I'm going to let it ride and see what happens. Probably a screw up in my mash and/or chilling process. /sigh
Yep. Saw it as soon as I posted, and thought I'd corrected the url, but somehow I screwed it up anyway....
Thanks on the other stuff. It's frustrating to be slowed down!
I don't see a lot of press here for kegglebrewing.com, but I just received my order for 2 reconditioned ball lock cornies and couldn't be more pleased.
The order was placed Friday, and I received an email from Terry on Sunday that the shipment would be on it's way by COB Monday. I'd expected it...
No, went to Clifton since I was already in Centreville. Taking 66 to Falls Church is too much of a battle for me. :)
Also, the proprietor's really into UK ales, so he had the WLP equivalent to the original Wyeast strain, but suggested the substitution to London ale yeast.
I try to be fastidious about sanitation (PBW soak followed by running Star San through the keg and tap), but will store it in the fridge if I can. It's actually a present, so I'm hoping to be tapping this by Christmas!
