    1) get an inexpensive turkey fryer or propane camping burner 2) get ( or make ) a copper immersion chiller These two items will make your brew day much easier!

    American IPA MY 60 minute IPA

    Bringing this thread back to life...I brewed this in September and it is gone. Shared some with the friend who introduced me to home brewing and he loved it. Tomorrow I plan on doing another batch while introducing a potential new brewer to the hobby. Hops away!

    I got a brewery for christmas!

    New brewer here...get the 15 gallon for sure. I have done 8 brews since July and fermented all in plastic better bottles. The beers taste great and the safety issue is clear for me. Remember those full fermenters are heavy.

    There is no correct answer here. Both have their merits. I prefer bottles for their flexibility regarding sharing.

    Broke two bottles total from my first 15 gallons (three brews.) Not sure what I did wrong. I am using a wing capper.
