    Bray's One Month Mead

Don't bottle till you get SG readings the same over the course of a week or so. I'd check again in 3-4 days, if it's is still 1.022 then check again in an additional 3-4 days. If the SG stays the same over that length of time, the yeasts are done. It is possible they are still working on the...

How many gallons of mead, 2021

My first try at mead was on Memorial Day. I did three one gallon batches. Kelly's Raw wildflower honey as the base for all. One was a traditional JAOM with bread yeast and a highly authentic balloon for the air lock fermented in the original gallon water bottle. I added a half teaspoon of DAP...

Read the whole thread. That's just awesome man. Looks great. I don't hate you at all like others. I'm proud of you for working hard to make a living, sacrificing when you were young and now taking your justly deserved reward. We almost built a house in Prairieville b/t airline and I 10 in the...

    Show us your Kegerator

Whew, read them all. Many great ideas. I have about a 15cf chest freezer that will fit 6 cornys without the need for a collar. I'm wanting to do a LSU theme one. Not sure if I should build a coffin, put a collar on it or make one of those PVC bridges for the taps. How well do the PVC bridges...

    Austin Homebrew has AMAZING Shipping

I ordered late Tuesday and it came in on Thursday. Saves me a trip to Houston to get my brewing needs. I tried my normal LHBS website(they are in Houston) but their ordering system kept blanking out my order. I had AHS up on another screen and ordered from them. I can't commit on the CS issues...

    T-minus how long to beer?

It is still recommended to bottle condition at least 3 weeks. During bottle conditioning the beer clears up some more but it also carbonates. So additional time in the secondary will not help the beer carbonate faster. 3 weeks is a good rule of thumb. Try one after 3 weeks and go from there...
