    Dipa very boozy

I don't EVEN wanna know how yer diaper got boozy! *Isn't, " Dipa" New England speak for, " diaper?" :D Hey! Put down those bottles! AAAARRRGGGAAHHH!....all that ABV will do that. But, if it's anything like my Mumme, it does mellow after a time...just a little.

What I did for beer today

Finally Cleaned the fermenter from the Mumme & the nylon bag of what looked for all the world like a cow's cud (buyeeeerp!). At least I got back my thick-walled shot glass this time. But, with some 3 gallons of water in it on my cart, wheeling back into the man cave...the wheels buried in the...

What are you doing instead of brewing this weekend?

Happy belated anniversary to you too! Just spotted this. I've been & will be busy with the restoration of a 1955-56 variant one Crosman model 160 Co2-.22 air gun. Good small game rifle when I finish it. Videos on my channel have started. Gotta look through my grains, etc to see what I need for...

    George Orwell's beer maid.

Very interesting. Especially in light of my very Orwellian Time Lords 2034 trilogy. Still working on book two. And Pete's still brewing beer! My version of Orwell's story happens some 70 years later...

A funny thing happened on the way to the closet

I also learned something important yesterday from Dennis Baker of Bakerairguns.com. Those E-Bay seal kits are worthless. They're missing a proprietary part needed to seal up Crosman air guns. It's part of the pump/piston assembly with a seal press fitted inside it you have to buy. Dennis...

    Post your infection

Doesn't look like an infection at all. Just krausen left-overs with some cold break or yeast floating around with it. No slimy bubbles or spiderweb-like lines.

What are you doing instead of brewing this weekend?

The last ship model I built was the USS Arizona. moving turrets & all. Added some planes to that, like the B-26 Invader. Pop being a Seabee in the Philippines, said the B-26's hit the deck at 180MPH. Impressive for a prop job, but an engineering nightmare for him & the boys on them small...

    Old Timer Sayings

The character of Gabby Johnson was taken from the popular Gabby Hayes on WHK radio when I was a kid. He was always sayin', " I'm tired, tired, tired of hearin' about it!" to whatever was being discussed. Besides the good ol' frontier gibberish.

    boiling priming sugar...

Pasteurization happens in seconds @ 160F. No need to boil the snot out of everything. Sugar is dry, leaving out one of three things nasty's need to live & multiply. Namely, moisture. I boil 2C of water to add my weighed amount of priming sugar too. The water gets boiled for a couple minutes...

    Does this look weird?

Cold break proteins usually have that, " wet popcorn" sort of look to them. This one looks to have the yeast floaters mixed up in it?
