    The Home Made Pizza Thread

I'm making three of my country pizzas tonight. 3-12", one with creamy garlic sauce, the other with bbq sauce. Chopped left over turkey, green onions, mushrooms & sweet pepper, & shredded motz will be picked from as toppings. I'll also cut the butter flavored Crisco for the dough in half, then...

What did I cook this weekend.....

Our thanksgiving turkey. Was 26lbs with a few pounds of my wife's grandma's sage stuffing pushing it to about 30lbs. Small pan to her right is a 300 year old cornbread stuffing recipe I found. To my left is her grandma's cranberry sauce, to the right some plains Indian blueberry pudding. We were...

A funny thing happened on the way to the closet

Well, things have changed a little. I got the Hatsan Striker 1000x .22 bundle, but not from amazon seller. He baited & switched me to the plastic stocked model (1000s)...& in .177 cal instead. Returned it for refund with amazon services help, & got the right one from midwayusa.com for $95.99...

    What are you drinking now?

Trying the first bottle of the old English version of the German mumme. Tastes more like mince pie with a bright crispness on the back. Good carbonation, brown cloudy color. Full glass of foam on the first pour. Will try to get better pics with later bottles.

Questions about Coopers kit and (new) plan

I've done a lot with Cooper's cans over the years. See my recipes for some examples. But I typically add a 3lb bag of Munton's plain light or extra light DME to the can to get " normal" range ABV. I've even added flavor & aroma hops in 2-3 gallons of spring water starting @ 15-20 minutes to...

A funny thing happened on the way to the closet

I just found this one on amazon. Hatsan Striker 1000x in .22 caliber. Got it for $119.47 out the door & will be here by Thursday to next Tuesday. Comes with Turkish walnut stock. Deliveries have been a day early with other things, so maybe this Wednesday?

A funny thing happened on the way to the closet

About two weeks ago I was given the e-mail to multi national airgun shooting champion Ron Robinson. He made scope mounts for various Crosman airguns back to 1955. 160 to 187. He sold me his last set from his personal stash & they just got here a lil bit ago. So here's the 70's Weaver V22-A...

    Post your infection

Hard to say absolutely, but my money's on the bottom one being the wheat. The trub ring is lighter. Gotta agree with golf on the other one. That had to be moldy gunk from the bottom of an uncleansed bottle floating loose.

Gardening Frustrations__ The season of the Varmint

Ah,ok, thanks. I obviously got it backwards. But these new era, magnum air guns have plenty of power for game of any size, depending on the caliber & type of gun. PCP's are the most powerful, but also the most expensive. Then there are the break barrel " springers" nitro gas piston, Co2, & pumps.

What are you doing instead of brewing this weekend?

I had an e-mail conversation with the legendary Ron Robinson. He's selling me the only remaining set of his Crosman model 160 Pellgun scope mounts left anywhere that I can find. He won championships with a Crosman 160 & a Weaver V22 scope like mine. He was so impressed with the couple pics I...
