    I didn't intend for the hops to stay in there so long, but the SG would just not drop so I kept it in there. It's my first brew, so I am just happy it's drinkable, and am happy I learned so much.

    Fermenting in Carboy?

    I have a 5 gallon batch of corona clone in a 5 gallon carboy and it did fine...it is nice to be able to look at it doing it's thing, but I found cleaning the carboy a biznatch, I spent like half an hour trying to get all the starsan foam out, and then adding the wort to the carboy sucked too...

    I planted a cascade and nugget rhizome in early may and they are coming along pretty good. The thing is though, the cascade has only sent out one bine. The bine is a couple feet long now and looking healthy and all good, but I would like more bines. Would cutting the bine promote more growth...

    I did a hydrometer reading and got 1018...it was 1022 about 3 weeks ago. I am going to give it another week and see, I am just sick of waiting, I am never using crap yeast again! lol

    I made my first batch 3 weeks ago, had issues with the yeast, had to repitch a different brand of yeast (it was all I had) and finally got it going, 2 weeks later my SG had gone from 1044 to 1020, and was stuck, no action. I waited another week and fg was still 1020, and there was no bubbling...
