Help me decide new mash tun

I recommend going with the stainless concord. I used a cooler for a few years then it starting to get bubbles in between the liner and the insulation. If your going to spend a a lot of years brewing it will be worth it to get the concord instead of using a cooler for a few years then getting the...

I brew in my detached garage in western new york in all seasons. I'll brew when its single digits outside and never have a problem with the hose freezing during brew day. what are you guys using for heating in your chambers

I used my 200w space heater in a upright freezer in my detached garage last year. Worked great when we had a week in the single digits. It even turned off at times, I figured it would run constantly. I think it was set for 65degs. or so...

    Brew/Hangout Shed

Thanks the walls and cathedral ceilings are my favorite part of shed. I would of ran more amps to mine but I bought the cable before I started brewing and wanted to do it cheap as possible. I think after winding up my 50' heavy 30amp extension cord for the third time I cursed my self for being...

    Frugal Brew Shed

New Brew shed thread got me motivated to take some pictures. Here's my humble brewing abode. It's 10x18 inside and came with my house. Western New York gets pretty cold in the winter and i was tired of my sink having ice crystals in it when I was brewing so I decided to get a heater. well a...

    Brew/Hangout Shed

I finished the inside of my shed last winter. It is 10' wide by 18' deep on the inside and came with the house. I insulated it and finished the inside with pallet wood. I was going to poor a concrete floor but I am a carpenter and we had left over material so I put in a plywood floor with vct...

    2 x 2 16 gauge - OK for 15+ gallons?

Sounds like you got a plan in place but electric with a would table would be a lot cheaper if you diy. Sounds like your going to have over a grand in your stand when that's more than i have in 3 25 gal pots and my control panel. Also brewing a batch costs half as much when heating with electricity.
