    Glueing plywood to refrigerator rear?

I'm always in favor of mechanical fasteners before adhesives. Are there any existing screws, lips, ledges, or gaps that can be used to hang something from? Maybe a Pic of the back of the fridge?

Good evening all! Novice brewer here.

Those are the three places I was going to mention off the top of my head. Maybe Southside Cellar or Dr. Jeckyll's? Just guessing at those. I know Spec's will order in what you want, it could just take a while. Otherwise, I'm sure some of our local breweries will fill corny's/sell sixtels. I wish...

    Kegging after fermentation

The amount of carbonation depends on the style, but yes. 10-12 psi at serving temp will be fine for most ales, ambers, and IPAs. Generally, lagers a little higher, stouts and porters a little lower.

    Talk to me about seltzer...

I mean, I wouldn't bet the farm on it because the calculator said the same as you. That's just what my refracto came up with. Maybe my few drops could have been diluted? I might just have to use the tipsy-o-meter after it's done to know for sure.

Chest freezer died. Would like something front load

Yeah, dude! Two would probably work out better than one. Ale in one, lager in the other.

    Talk to me about seltzer...

Take two... I'm taking another stab at this. This time around I'm going to make a smaller batch (only because the 6 gal carboy has wine in it), increase the gravity, and change out the yeast for EC-118. Day 1 - 4 lbs of corn sugar in three gallons of water, pitched at 70°. OG = 1.043. The...

Chest freezer died. Would like something front load

I went ahead and took a couple pics of my shelf reinforcement in case I missed painting a good verbal picture.

    Digital Scale Recommendation?

Good to know. Thank you for that.

I have 20L Speidels now and with the temp dial in the back and door shelf removed, it fits in there just fine spigot forward. Any wider, turning the fermenter a bit would work just fine.

    Digital Scale Recommendation?

I went through a few digital scales for hops and grain before I went to analog and couldn't be happier with the accuracy. Budget friendly digital scales, although claim to be accurate, lack the ability to actually count tenths, hundredths, and so on. Instead, they'll jump from .02 to .04, or .2...

    Pretzel Wheat Beer

I really want to know how this turns out. Keep us posted!

You can definitely get two in there. Although not shown in the picture, I reinforced the stock shelves with a piece of angle aluminum. I attached it to the shelves with butterfly anchors. It works great.

    Pretzel Wheat Beer

I like experimenting with new flavors and ideas. Breakfast cereals are my favorite. I've had very good pretzel beers before, but we must keep in mind - there is a line that should not be crossed, gentlemen... Yes, I've had it. No, it's not good.

    Nuts in the secondary?

    Putting nuts in your beer... [I'm a grown man, not a 14 year-old boy. I'm a grown man, not a 14 year-old boy. I'm a grown man, not a 14 year-old boy. I'm a grown man, not a 14 year-old boy. How the heck do I read this hydrometer?

I agree with 1.053. It's not where the liquid touches the glass, it the level of the liquid. Water tension creeps up the side making it look like 1.052

Chimay Available in North Korea Now

I heard that the supreme leader not only invented beer, but also perfected it before brewing his fist batch. This is known as fact because he entered a single beer into competition and won first place in every category.

    Pretzel Wheat Beer

Martin House, a local brewery, makes a similar beer. Peanut Butter Pretzel Stout. Their we page says: "This 6.5% abv stout is as black as West Texas Intermediate and is brewed with over six pounds of crushed sourdough pretzels per barrel." It has a good pretzel flavor to it, so maybe...

How the heck do I read this hydrometer?

As my eyes age faster than I do, I find it harder and harder to read hydrometers. I all but stopped taking readings. I did find precision hydrometer that only has gravity and the scale range is only 1.000 - 1.070 making it way easier to read. I would include a link, but I bought it from Northern...
