I'm pretty new, but you are much better off leaving it in primary for longer than planned than bottling early and risking overcarbonation and unfermented sugars.

That one is drier than the regular AO, but yeah, the hop flavor is pretty minimal. The Woodchuck Hopsation is a much better product and quite good, though different.

I've had Dale's multiple times, both on draft and from the can, and I've never experienced what you are describing.

My last batch has a few grass clippings in it. Doesn't seem to have affected anything.

I see you're in Arkansas. If you can get your hands on Commotion (by Great Raft out of Shreveport), give it a try. I love it.

How well does the Anova work for that? Do you do anything about the grain getting into the heating element? What about burning the bag? I used my Anova for soaking the speciality grains in an extract brew, and it ended up getting part of the bag in the heating element and put a hole in it.

Thanks for the insight y'all. I'm not too afraid that I mucked up the batch, but I was trying to follow the recipe to establish a baseline for establishing flavors. Oh well - I'm looking forward to trying it anyway. I'll nail the recipe next time and still be able to compare.
