    Pokémon Go Anyone?

They've changed what spawns where. The park across the street from me is now a nest for slowpokes. There are tons of them.

What would happen if I ate whirlfloc tablets?

I left a bag of them in the kitchen, and my wife put them on my desk. They look suspiciously like bottle caps (the candy not the, um, caps). I'm not going to eat them, but I'm tempted. Will post video. Thoughts?

Need a recipe that commercial beer drinkers may like

I have a cream ale carbonating that I brewed for that purpose. We will see how it comes out. It's pretty mild so far, so maybe they will like it.

    Help chilling wort

I did my first test of using a pump to recirculate ice water through my chiller. It worked pretty well, but I did use about $10 worth of ice.

    Pilsner malt efficiency

I wonder what the difference would have been if you had run their crushed grain through your mill. Would it have been too fine?

I'm glad it's not just me. :mug:

    Sediment free bottled beer

Carbing. It carbonates in the bottle, so chill it hard after it conditions in the bottle for 2-3 weeks.

Inner smack packs are tough suckers

I smacked one once and left it on the counter to swell. I came back to a counter full of yeast. I'm really not a fan of the smack packs.

    Horrible color....Pink Milkshake

A friend of mine is a partner in a craft distillery, and they color their red absinthe with hibiscus flowers. I think you might need to learn to love pink. It does fade over time if you leave it in light - not sure that would be good for the beer though.

Newbie beginning All-Grain! Help? Ideas? Suggestions?

I'm in the same boat as you, having just received my mashtun and new kettle. I'm also planning on a few smash runs to see how things go (I like pale ales/IPAs mostly) beersmith seems pretty good at telling you IBU values. I will probably overshoot a bit, as my water is a little alkaline...

Building a grain recipe from scratch

I'm in the same boat, and I've decided to start doing a few smash (single malt, single hop) brews to see what the different profiles of the malts and hops taste like. And then go from there.

    Calculation questions

Dammit, I meant to buy a hydrometer at the LHBS today, but I forgot. The one from my original kit broke in transit. Thanks for the advice. Regarding the equipment, that's one of the reason I want to do a few Smashes. It will familiar myself with the different malts and hops and let me nail...
