    Robobrew/Brewzilla Discussion

I'll bite. But first do you have a 35 or 65L? Also did you purchase yours prior to mid 2020 as some earlier models seem to have a had a different screen set up? What's your secret? My current process is grains milled at .4, use of some rice hulls and a fairly loose mash thickness. I let the...

    Robobrew/Brewzilla Discussion

Cheers everyone! Just read through the forum and lots of good stuff here. I have had a BZ 65l for almost a year trying to switch over from a 3 v propane / rims set up where I typically do 10G batches. Love the ease of use but like everyone has mentioned, the recirculation on it is painfully...

    dirt cheap glycol chiller?

Question for you all... I was thinking about building a glycol chiller as dropping a grand on a new one seems cost prohibitive at this point. I was thinking of going the deconstructed AC route but wondered is something infinitely less expensive would work just as well. What if I just took a...

    Robobrew/Brewzilla Discussion

Two questions for everyone...Just ran my third batch on a 65l V 3.1.1 and I have noticed that at even at low flow levels I am getting wort up to the overflow pretty quickly. First batch was a wheat and it was so bad i stopped recirculating and it scorched the wort. The second batch was better...

    Cleaning and Sanitation Processes

I set up a similar sink with a pump to send the waste over to a nearby bathroom. Check out laundry tray pumps. I am so happy to have a sink nearby as it saves literally thousands of extra steps in a brew day and keeps my kitchen clean for swmbo.

sanitation in aftermath of lacto infection

Hi All, I could definitely use some help here. After 130 batches I have finally run into an unintended infection. I believe it's lacto after doing some web surfing. This was a Irish red that sat for about three weeks in the fermenter. I tasted a sample from below the surface and the beer was...

Optimal PID settings for Inkbird ipb 16

I have changed out a couple of elements since I first got this controller. I started using an element from brew hardware but ended up burning that one up. Then I started using a store bought 240 4500 w element but found I got a lot of scorching. I finally replaced my rims element with another...

Still top lid for boil kettle

I have seen some still top lids that work for robo brew type equipment. Anyone seen a still top lid that would work for 15 or 20 gallon boil kettles?

cheap Hopper Upgrade for Cereal Killer mill

Right now I am just using a cheap corded drill. One of my next upgrades will be a motorized mill but that's down the road a bit. :cask:

cheap Hopper Upgrade for Cereal Killer mill

I have been doing 10 gallon batches and using somewhere in the 22 to 25lb grain bills. While I enjoy my cereal killer mill, it gets to be a pita to continually stop and feed more grain. In doing another project I ended up purchasing (5) 4.25 gallon HDPE containers. In this case it looks like...

Looking for suggestions on gas routing with new rims

Just got an awesome new rims set up and trying to incorporate it into my single tier brew stand. I have a brass line for my gas that is directly below the end of the burners that unfortunately would be in the way of where I want to mount it. So I see three options, two of which I am not sure...

Hunt for a better 1/2" bulkhead plug

These cover 1/4” holes I believe. One is brewhardware and the other is as brewtech.
