Yeah I’m also using the neoprene jacket, which really helps on holding mash temp and I suppose could help on the boil. My boil off rate is 1 gal per hour
I’m getting in the 70s for my lower gravity grain bills (11-15 lbs) and 60s for the big beers (16 lbs+). Mill gap and stirring the mash were my best improvements. I think the Robobrew presents unique challenges to getting consistent mash performance. My last brew was gapped at .037 and I’m...
Good luck with that - $55 part

I‘ll probably do an inspection, maybe recirculate PBW solution through it for a while.
Sorry to hear you’re having a problem. I’ve not experienced a leak although I noticed how tight the hose was when I replaced my circuit boards. Probably a workmanship issue for sure. As far as plugging the pump, it’s happened to me a couple times and I learned early on not to let any grain...
Haha, me too. I mean I may have learned about p values in a statistics course way too many years ago, but it’s long forgotten. This thread has caused me to pay more attention to Brulosophy than I had previously and I dug up an old interview with Marshall which caused me to have a greater...
Yes, there are gullible, not so smart people in home brewing. Why do we care how good or bad their beer is? And who really gives a crap about p values?
Yeah, that’s what happened to mine. If you were to remove the relays from the board, I’m guessing you’ll see at least one damaged, plus the heat probably destroyed the circuit board traces.
EDIT: looked on Williams- not showing as out of stock...
I’m wondering if you could jist use an Ink-bird Controller? I can’t locate a wiring diagram but it would be pretty easy to trace the wires.
I believe the switches are wired in-line with the elements and there’s a relay for each element. If so then you take the 2 relay outputs and connect them...
Sorry to hear that, mine quit last spring as I was getting ready to boil. I also bought mine from Williams - suggest you give them a call, I find them very responsive and they may have a stash in the back room. You'll need both boards to make it work...
I have an XL spreadsheet open on brew day, enter the Beersmith numbers for the sparge mineral additions and scale it up linearly to actual sparge water I’m heating.
