    Lalvin 1118 - bready smell/taste

    I usually use Knottingham but decided to try out 1118 after reading about it in the forum. Knotti's usually ready to bottle by now... Not mellowed but drinkable. After 1 month, the 1118 still smells and tastes bready. It's perfectly clear and was racked 2 weeks ago. Anyone know how much...

    first batch with EC 1118

    So what happened? How long before the odor went away? Mines about 1 month old and still smells of bread. I used 1118 for the first time. Thanks!
