    Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in a can. The can is nice because you can take it to the beach or on the boat, easy in coolers, and when drinking all day sometimes staying away from glass isn't a bad thing... at least with my buddies.

    I'm jealous of y'alls setups. In a 1500sq ft house with no basement or garage, space is premium. It's not possible to hide a fermentation chamber... Ah well, the things I do for beer.

    (Possible) Fermentation Problem

    I've only brewed a few batches but my understanding is that you can add dry yeast directly, although it may be better to rehydrate it first. Regardless, you got fermentation so you should be good! Can't imagine the angle is bad unless it's interfering with the air lock or something... I guess...

    Sounds like maybe the fridge should be the kegerator and then get a chest freezer and temp controller for fermentation if I'm set on using the freezer above the fridge... Wiring in a temp controller to separate the fridge from the freezer might be too much trouble. Thanks for all the responses!

    I've come to realize that brewing and living in Florida requires a fermentation chamber. I'd like to pick up a used full size fridge with freezer and just use the fridge as the chamber. Will the fridge stay warm enough for ales without using a temperature controller? I'd like to use the freezer...
