    ingredient --> taste question

    So would it be safe to say that the hops in the middle of the circle have less distinguishable characteristics vs those that are towards the outer portion since the outer portion hops are very clearly in a category?

    Bitter IPA Finish...Rookie question

    I have found with IPAs that I like them much better by letting them warm a bit. It seems (and this could very well be just my perception) that a deep chill dulls the sweet more than it dulls the bitter so a freezing cold hoppy beer seems abnormally bitter.

    When to Use Keggle

    Wow, thanks a ton! It's literally only pennies more when all is said and done! Funny, one of the reasons I want to move from 1 gallon to 5 gallon (aside from just moving up) is because of your Blonde Ale!!

    When to Use Keggle

    For the mechanically and household-handy-impaired (me) is that half inch or 1 inch copper? The price is literally double between the two. I.e. would this work: Lowes copper tubing

    Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

    I'm a noob still messing with 1 gallon batches on my stove and doing the batch sparge thing with a mesh strainer.... could I just scale back 80% across the board and expect to get in the ball park? I understand it will be lower efficiency, etc, but I am just looking to get close.

    First brew, Brooklyn Brew Kit

    I did my first brew yesterday with this kit and I was shocked at how much I boiled off. I started with 2.5 quarts in the mash and then did 4 more quarts of sparge water. After the boil I had 3/4 of a gallon of wort at best. I think the issue was I used a pretty big pot meaning much more...

    Brooklyn Brew Shop Everyday IPA Kit Tips

    Thank you for the compliment and you you were right, it is bubbling nicely in to the blow off bowl and the yeast disk at the bottom is much smaller!

    Brooklyn Brew Shop Everyday IPA Kit Tips

    I pitched somewhere in the high 60s. I was very paranoid about that particular step after reading that it's possible to burn the yeast to death so I erred on the side of cooler. As to the activity, I'm mostly concerned about what looks like all the yeast on the bottom, is that normal? I...

    Brooklyn Brew Shop Everyday IPA Kit Tips

    Hello all! Did my first brew today with this kit. Everything seemed to go kind of smooth, though I did end up like a quart short on wort which was odd as I expected to be way over, but I just added water as per the instructions. The question I have is that it has been about 4 hours and I am...
