    Question about Gas

I believe you would need a much larger tank to get the equivalent btus of propane because it comes in a compressed gaseous state unlike propane. Propane can be liquefied with just a couple hundred psi at room temp, but natural gas needs to be cooled (-260F) to get to/stay in a liquid state...

    Prioritizing Equiptment Purchases

Also kegerators can be converted dorm fridges. The one I use is very small and fits 2 kegs (snugly) with the taps out the front door. Its a 4.5cu ft haier i got at lowes for $150 and takes up less than 2x2 feet of floor space.

Adding Apple Cider to beer calculus

Cider is usually around 1.050. If your beer is around this gravity then you probably won't notice much of an overall gravity increase... It can lower your final gravity as it is more fermentable than wort as previously stated. a 1.050 beer * 3 gallons = 150 points 1.050 cider * 1 gallon = 50...

    Meantime Brewery bottles

I use champagne bottles all the time for higher CO2 level beers. They can be capped with standard caps, corked and capped, and champagne corks/wire bales like meantime does. Ive seen them w/ and w/o a punt from the LHBS.

Good place to buy amber 12 oz bottles?

What season do you do the most brewing ?

I brew year round, adjusting what I brew to the season. The ground water can get a little warm in the summer... end up prechilling the IC water for the last 20-30 deg F.

    Barley

Not a great price for feed barley either. 5 gal of barley is around 25lbs. A 50# sack of malt is around 40$ at my LHBS and it comes already malted!

Step 1 - Power to the Panel - Can I tee a line?

Would it work? Sure. Is it to code? Nope. Each electric dryer is required to have a dedicated 30A run. You won't find a double dryer outlet either for that reason.

    Priming sugar?

Well a cup of table sugar is around 7oz. So 5/8 is a little over 4oz. There is a range in CO2 volumes for the style and the residual CO2 dissolved in the beer post fermentation has an impact on how much to add. 3oz will put you in the middle of the range for the style... maybe your kit makes...

Just curious - is a Saison a session beer?

Yea, it was the harvest time seasonal beer from whatever they had on hand. Most saisons and recipes I have tried are north of 5% ABV so, while easy drinking because of the dryness of the style, it isn't a beer I would call a session beer. Traditionally they were much lower in ABV... like 3.5%...
