    My New Electric HERMS Build

As far as how its plumbed, the wort leaves the MT (with false bottom), goes into pump, from pump it goes into HERMS coil(in HLT), comes out and dumps right back into the MT thru my "sophisticated" sparge tube :) or did you want a visual?

Test run/shock felt when touching kettle

it could be anything, isolate the element from your control panel and do a continuity check between your element enclosure(ground) and your live wires on element. if you read infinity, then the problem is in your control panel, then id start with maybe your SSR bleeding into ground thru your...

Voltage at Element but No Heat

What brum said... If your troubleshooting any A/C circuit to ground or neutral then you'll troubleshoot all day and drive yourself nuts and most likely never find your problem. You HAVE to measure line to line or (line on line) to find an open especially on anything above 120v. Best way is to...

Testing an SSR - Can you?

I've found on my ssr's, if I connect hot to pin1 and element side to pin 2 then my led indicators do not come on when no element is connected. As soon as I reverse the two, my element led turned on about to half it's brightness. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

    Madueño's E-HERMS Build

True. I never did say you cant make it work. Im just saying as a electronics technician, i try to keep things as simple as possible so when i have to troubleshoot a circuit then it usually pays off to be organized. I was wondering if the 220v would work on 110v. I just bought a couple last...

    Madueño's E-HERMS Build

You might wanna take a close look at some of the lights you bought. For example. U bought 220v lights for your pumps, and your pumps only run at 110v. The other 220v lights you can work with but I would have stayed with 110v. But that's just my opinion. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew
