Finally able to drink my first brew.. The True Brew Oktoberfest. Wasn't very malty, lightly hopped. Oh well, it's drinkable! :-) Then onto Sam Adam's Imperial series stuff... Double Bock, Imperial White, and Imperial Stout. Fun to see how far a particular style can go...

Just got my new turkey fryer cleaned and conditioned today... so I'm ready for two brews this weekend, an American Wheat, and a Black Lager. I'm hoping I can piece together a wort chiller before then.

For sure! She had fun filling up the bottles that I placed before her so she didn't have to move and did the fun part. Then taking her request for the next brew has her excited. I wonder how long this will go on.. :-)

My mistake after brewing my first one was to put additional items I wanted for my next brew onto a birthday wishlist. Now I'm just waiting and waiting.... lol. Going to Corrado's in NJ today... I've heard the place is pretty weak sauce at times, but I'm just looking for another extract...

I like McSorley's Black Irish Lager.... I like Black Lagers in general. Right now I'm drinking the Guiness Black Lager. It's a bit more dry than McSorleys, but still tasty.

I'm jealous... I'm finally bottling my first brew EVER this weekend. I'm so excited, it's a bit ridiculous really. It's been fun trying to quickly drink 50 bottles worth of beer so I had something to put my batch in. Good luck with those hops. Maybe add in some viagra to make them more...

It's a standard in PA of course, but definitely in NJ as well. I have too many friends who went to Scranton, and came back four years later with the "Yuengling Brainwash" syndrome. Regardless, it's a consistent beer.

Harvest Moon... would like to try and duplicate this some day.
