Rev, as you know I live in the same town... always found the UPS drivers to be MUCH better with regards to leaving packages. Glad it worked out and he just got the wrong house in this case, but in general, they always switch up the Fed Ex guy (at least on my route) so they always do things...

Yea, using PBW or Oxyclean to soak the labels off overnight is great! A quick spray of starsan on the hands after handling the bottles with oxy clean on them also makes that slippery feeling go away immediately. StarSan is amazing... and I think fairly cost efficient. Only 1oz of liquid...

Thanks aiptasia. I found frozen tart cherries... 5lb bags at Frank Farms, but they are out of Sweet Cherries.... but those are much easier to find. I can likely find them at my local Trader Joes. Now to search more on HBT to find out how much to add for a medium level of cherry flavor goodness.

This is EXACTLY what I want to do with my first kit. I pitched the yeast when the wort was too hot. Thankfully I read the threads here (afterwards) and let the bottles sit, and those bubblegum and whatever else flavors went away and the beer was drinkable... but knowing what I know even...
