    Alternatives To Bottling Buckets?

Thanks a lot for revvy's shorter bottling tube and dip tube. Makes things much easier. I also dont see the purpose of using something other than a bucket. It seems much easier then a pot, keg, etc. It also provides for good storage of brewing stuff when not brewing.

    What are you drinking now?

Just got a 6 pack of Abita Christmas Ale. I see on their website that the recipe changes from year to year, so I am not sure what abv it is, or what it is classified as. I am guessing it is a Brown Ale with some spices. Maybe some nutmeg????

    Bee in the brew pot

I had an acorn from an oak tree land in a few brews ago at about 10 minutes into the boil. I figured it was fine since it was in the boil. I guess we shall see how it turns out. Acorn Bitter...

    Dumb Question about Carboys

although everyone says you cant use a 5 gal to do primary, I do. I just expect to have blow-off every time. I dont find this to be a problem though, since my blowoff only lasts a day or 2 and then all is normal. I do lose about .25 gal. of beer to this, but always get 45-50 beers per batch I...

    Bottling Tips for the Homebrewer

Built my dip tube out of an angled pvc cut with the drimmel that screwed onto the plastic faucet. There is maybe 2-3 mm of space between the bottom of the bucket and the bottom of the dip tube. It worked great. I did tip the bucket slightly just to make sure I got the most out of it. Less...

    Turkey fryer burner timer/interlock mod

Yeah... I wasn't trying to take anything away from disassembling it. I want to do that myself. I have just found that a rubberband works well if someone doesn't want to disassemble it or doesn't feel comfortable doing it. I will try and bypass it too and will comment on how it goes. Thanks.

    Turkey fryer burner timer/interlock mod

Have the same setup and a rubber band from the timer to the leg of fryer holds the timer in place an it never has to be reset.
