    Columbus & Citra IPA- Suggestions?

This is just my personal opinion, I would cut the crystal and honey malt in half and add that amount in base malt. I think for 2 gal you will be a bit too sweet. As for the hops, I would do a 60 with CTZ, Then nothing until 15 min. With the 45&30 min addition I think will add too much bitterness.

    Columbus & Citra IPA- Suggestions?

I use honey malt in almost every beer I make, and I never use more than a half pound. As for your hops, I would cut your 60 min addition in half and definitely double your late additions. Good luck! I should note that the half pound honey malt I use is in 5.5 gal batches.

Critique my house IPA recipe please!

Looks pretty tasty to me! One of my IPA's has a similar hop schedule, but I use citra instead of centennial. My grain bill is a little more simple. With 2 row, c60 and a touch of honey malt. Brew it up and see what ya think! I personally would drop the carapils.

When I lived there in the early 90's, Michelob was considered craft beer.

That's not southern Illinois.. I lived in mt. Vernon for a couple years. You need to move more south. There are 4 micro breweries within 40 min of my house.

    Tropical Blond Ale

I understand staying with the same flavors, but why not use a neutral bittering hop like magnum.

    Tropical Blond Ale

Everything looks good to me. Just wondering why the mosaic at 45. You will only get bitterness from it. So why not use a neutral high Alfa hop the and move it a late addition to get some flavor and aroma from it.

Efficient Octagonal CPVC manifold for Rubbermaids

That should be fine. I got the information on how to make mine off the internet.

    neglected CFC

There were chunks of hops I'm assuming along with just brown water coming out. I ran the BLC through it several times. I then made a little more BLC solution and it ran clear. I then rinsed with 5 gallons of plain water. Followed by a star san flush.

    Your worst beer comp score

I entered a smoked ale in a local competition. 2 of the 3 judges scored it 34,32 respectively. The other judge scored it a 19. His one and only comment, "totally undrinkable"

    neglected CFC

OK. I'm kind of embarrassed to say this. I ran boiling water through my CFC. I then mixed up a half gallon of BLC. The things that came out were very scary!

    neglected CFC

I haven't brewed in 4 months and my CFC has just been sitting in the basement. I plan on brewing this weekend and want to make sure that it is clean and sanitised. I have star san and BLC. I was thinking of running the BLC through it and then the star san. I ran boiling water through it...

    IPA recipe critique please!

I personally would not use more that 12oz of c20. You could add 4oz of honey malt for a little more sweetness if that's what your looking for.

    IPA recipe critique please!

If it was mine, i would drop the pilsner malt. As far as the hops go i would move the 45 min addition up to 5 min and move the 30 min up to 15 min or less.

    American IPA Hops (Round 1)

I love an all centennial IPA. My second place IPA is Amarillo/citra!

    more body and malt flavor

You could cut the base malt back a couple pounds and add some Vienna malt and a few ounces of honey malt.

Playing with a hop bill... American IPA...

If you cut the cara- pils out and the victory malt, and add 8oz honey malt, you would have my basic IPA grain bill. As far as your hop schedule i would go with what you have ( 12, 0). You can dry hop with more cascade if you like, but not needed.

Playing with a hop bill... American IPA...

You can use what you have and make a very good IPA/ APA. I would go with a little different grain bill. Something like 12# pale malt, 12oz crystal 60 and 6oz honey malt. Then for hops i would go with 3/4oz Columbus at 60 then split the simcoe and citra between 15 & 0. You could also add a pound...
