    What are you drinking now?

Took me a second to figure out what the hell the name was implying.. Then I took a sip and it came to me.. Still not sure what to make of it.. It's not bad, but I'm wondering if the arrogant bastard prior to this threw me off a bit. Will report back after a bottle.. Or two..

American Pale Ale Three Floyds Zombie Dust Clone

Phew and here I thought I was the only one. Haha. I broke my hydrometer so I used a refractometer, only to read later that you need to calculate the fg. Bought a new hydrometer and I'm sitting at 1.019.

American Pale Ale Three Floyds Zombie Dust Clone

8 days in around 66* and I seem to be stuck at 1.031 on my extract version. Was late the night I made it and looks like I forgot to take my OG sample so no clue what I started out at. Read an earlier post and I'll try gently swirling to active the yeast again. If that doesn't work what are my...

American Pale Ale Three Floyds Zombie Dust Clone

Just brewed an extract batch last night, using the 1968. Blow off tube is already nice and full and she's steadily bubbling away. The smell coming through the water is amazing, I almost took a sip its that enticing! I simply can not wait for this beer to be ready! Have a feeling this one is...

My og and fg were way off!

Finally came time to crack a bottle open and have to say I'm extremely surprised. Granted I have no clue how a real "jamils evil twin" should taste but this is one tasty beer. Hopefully it will come out the same because I am most definitely making this again!

My og and fg were way off!

Thanks for the tip. Not sure if i should be happy that it might not have been me or sad that this beer will not come out as intended. Yea I'll definitely be doing a yeast starter from now on. Seems more yeast won't hurt the batches anyway.

My og and fg were way off!

I keep them wrapped up in sleeping bags Wyeast 1056 American ale smack pack. ( which after reading a few others I wish I did a...

My og and fg were way off!

Just finished my 4th extract brew and for the first time my OG and FG were pretty far off. I used a NB Jamils evil twin with specialty grains. Boil went accordingly, except for the OG. They it have listed as 1.064, my came out at 1.054. After a couple hours, had great fermentation going on. Was...

    Saison de Noel

Just popped open a bottle, a few days earlier than expected. Impatience got the better of me this time and I surely wasn't rewarded for it. Still low on carb and high on alcohol taste. Think I'll have to let it sit longer than initially expected. Think the coolness of the basement is going to...

Dk Belgian Pale Ale (northern brewer kit)

Popped my beer brewing cherry, this being my first ever home brew. I Just transfered over to secondary last night before reading lots of info stating that this really isnt a neccesary step. Recipe calls for another 2-4 weeks for secondary fermentaion which seems like a pretty broad range. Has...
