I'm not sure if anyone else has come across this, but this has happened with two of my ESP setups. I'm not sure what's causing the issue but in short. Whenever i apply either, Beer profile, fridge constant or beer constant it causes my ESP8266 to reset and then crash the brewpi GUI...

If you google RPI shutdown you'll find the code but Sudo shutdown -h now works. Think of the RPI as like your computer you wouldn't just yank the power cable you'd turn it off using the shutdown procedure. You can do this either through the GUI interface or using a command mentioned earlier...

The arduino version isn't being officially supported now by brewpi.

Take a look at weaved (it may be remote.id now) it works well you get 5 mins access remotely per session which is more than enough in my experience but it means you don't need to mess with the brewpi files
