    Blender motor ideas?

Hey all, So recently I've broken two blenders. The plastic piece that makes the blade spin has broken on both. It seems like a waste to through out a perfectly good blender motor. Any ideas on repurposing these for brewing? Cheers!

Keezer Build...She ain't the prettiest but we're proud

We put a quick disconnect on the outside of the keezer just at the lid in order to keep the system pressurized when the CO2 tank needs to be disconnected. As you can see she can hold 6 cornys. There is room for the CO2 tank on the hump but we decided to put it out side the freezer...

    Dish washer pumps?

Hey everyone, I'm in the planning stages of a single tier brew stand. I was wondering if anyone uses pumps from a dishwasher to pump wort. I would need two pumps. I would believe the pumps could handle the temperature of the wort. Any info would be greatly appreciated. If a dishwasher pump...

    Constructing Kettles - need advice

Hey, I'm starting to piece together my all grain set up. I will be getting my kettles fabricated from stainless steel. I'd like to do 10gal batches. Is a 15gal kettle big enough for that? Also how high above the "floor" of the kettle should the bulkhead for the valve be? Should this height...

    Scuba's Herms Build!

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone else as build this stand and if they have the dimensions/plans or any tips for it. I already sent ScubaSteve a pm about it but any possible input would be great. I decided to go the wood route because a buddy of mine is a carpenter and says he'd build me a...

    Carbonating with soda bottles

I'm pretty new to brewing but have a little bit of experience in brewing in plastic bottles. I started out brewing in brown PET bottles. Lately I only brew in glass. One batch I brewed I used plastic and glass. I noticed they both tasted slightly different. I can't really describe the flavor...

    Hello from Canada

Hey Everyone, I'm Dan. I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I've been homebrewing for about 2 years now. About 8 5-Gal Batches under my belt(including 1 failure). Right now I do mostly extract batches but I'm slowing venturing into partial mashes. This summer I hope to build an all-grain setup...
