    Adding nibs and cinnamon

I roasted my cocoa nibs at 300 for 12 minutes, added to 3oz toast oak chips, 3 striped/chopped vanilla beans to approx 12oz of bourbon. Will soak for approx 2 weeks beore adding to secondary. Dumping it directly into my uni hasn’t been an issue. Roasting really brings out the flavor in raw nibs.

Is anyone using a Penguin Glycol Chiller?

Good point! There is a very small spacer that raises it a little. I will see if I can prop it up a bit to creat more airflow.

Is anyone using a Penguin Glycol Chiller?

Unfortunately, I went for the cheaper version with the galvanized bottom shelf...live and learn.

Is anyone using a Penguin Glycol Chiller?

Thanks...I have it situated on the bottom shelf of a restaurant equipment table; so, no contact with the concrete floor. Eric from Penguin is sending out a “plate” kit that will allow for the condensation to flow to a larger collection area to give it additional time to evaporate. Penguin has...

Is anyone using a Penguin Glycol Chiller?

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. I’ll take a close look at those things you mentioned. I also emailed Eric from Penguin for assistance. Much appreciate!

Did you resolve the condensation issue? My 1/3 hp is doing the exact same thing...big puddle under the unit.

    Hop Dropper for SSB Unitank

Same as VAle71. Site glass helps with seeing if all hops have dropped...I too have a pellet or two get stuck on the edge of the site glass that are easily shaken loose...Nothing sticks to the 3” valve.

    Hop Dropper for SSB Unitank

No O2 is exactly what I was trying to accomplish for my heavily dry hopped NEIPAs. I do not swap out the dry hopper when fermenting these types...just leave the valve open for full use of the installed PRV. My 3” PRV blows at 18psi...and its loud, wakes you up for sure. It’s only blown when...

    Hop Dropper for SSB Unitank

My tank is empty at the moment and just took the pics to show what I’ve got. I leave the valve open...the PRV on top is an OEM 15 psi directly from SSB. Spunding is backup...never clogged on me. When not dry hopping, I use the 3” PRV. I’m 1000% about safety.
