    Spot the Space Station

Correct. Still, it's interesting that this is a second flight for booster 14, second and last.

Starship Launch #9 in four hours or so.

    Batch size

Besides all of the great information already posted, you need to be aware of your losses during your brew day. 6.5 seems high for a five gallon batch so the recipe might be for a 6 or 5.5 gallon batch. It's hard to guess. I aim for eleven gallons to the fermenter for a ten gallon batch but it...

    The Home Made Pizza Thread

Rhubarb Pizza! There's a little bar bear me, their light sign posted that. I haven't tried it, still trying to imagine it. I love pizza and I like rhubarb but I would never dream of them together. Thoughts?

Life in a small French village for an old American

That whole southern stretch has brutal summer heat. I spent a work week in Paris Texas. It was104 every day, evenings got down to 85. That was too much heat for this Midwest guy. I can relate to the long journey across a hot parking lot. Heavy cotton pants and shirt, steel toed boots plus...

Yup, that's city chicken as I know it too, no marinade but I would like to try that!

The city chicken I have had is different but I have seen on the internet they are sometimes the same. City chicken I have had uses the same meat, no chicken., and it's in a skewer rather than formed

A culinary delight not easily found. Ground pork and veal with spices, breaded then baked. Yummy! My wife doesn't care for them.

You're probably right. It all depends on who is doing the cooking. If I made a dish it would be something fancier if a famous chef made it. Simple foods for a simple mind. They all taste the same. Ribs on a stick, Mock chicken legs and pudgy pies!

Those are very real concerns. New knees are in my future. I can appreciate your option to live somewhere else, a very beautiful and welcoming spot! Just pull the plug and go.

Life in a small French village for an old American

The pie irons were a staple in our camping kit growing up. I have two that I bought when I started camping with my girlfriend. Now I use them in the beer garden fire pit. Pizza was made the most but mom tried getting us to try other fillings. She wasn't convincing enough.

Very nice, I love a nice fire too when the weather is right. There's just some nice about a fire, reminds me when camping with my folks. We would sit around a fire at night and dad would tell stories. Mom made pizza pudgy pies. Life was great!

The political situation is very easy to handle; turn off the news and change the conversation when the subject comes up. Doesn't help with the weather though.

    Blonde ale = Kölsch ?

A little dark for a Blonde or a Kolsch, but heck, it's beer, and drinkable! I'm having a Helles before saddling up the mower.

    Blonde ale = Kölsch ?

It sort of is a contradiction. I got interrupted while typing and lost my thought. It should be a personal choice. I know lots of brewers that go to great lengths to save time while others seem to go to great lengths to make their day longer, conciencely or not. I'm all into innovation but...

    Fresh Fruit/Frozen Fruit

It's tough when you want to use a fruit not grown locally. Your best bet like you say is the frozen mango. Try it to see how it tastes, it could very well be stellar. Even if it's not there are ways to enhance it and still make great wine. Please do post your results as many folks here are up...

    Blonde ale = Kölsch ?

I appreciate trying new ideas but sometimes it's just best to stick with what works. You'd never know if you didn't try.

    Memorial Day

I absolutely agree, it's almost disrespectful but some folks just don't understand.
