How to Keep Picnic Faucets Clean in Garage Keezer?

I need something that won't get on the floor. That's why I was thinking about dipping things.

    Homebrewing and HOA's

Since we have no HOA, enforcing a restriction would take some effort.

What came in the mail for you today?

    Cambros are fantastic.

Anyway, I had two carboys, and I gave both away. When I got back into brewing at the beginning of '23, I got buckets and an All-Rounder. I abandoned the All-Rounder because of the longevity issue. I got a 6-gallon Torpedo Megamouth a couple of months later, and it has been wonderful.

Now I'm wondering if I got it backward. It was a long time ago.

    Dumbest Kegging Problem Ever

Man, this is annoying. I thought I was doing something smart. I keep solution in a clean keg. When I brew a beer, I pump the solution out into another clean keg, using CO2. That gives me a sanitized keg full of CO2, and I can store the filled keg for the next brew session. I'm just writing this...

Put that carboy on Craigslist! Get yourself one or two good primary fermenters and forget about secondary fermentation. If you use a fermenter that has posts and holds pressure, you can transfer finished beer under pressure and avoid oxygen contamination. You can also ferment under pressure. I...

How to Keep Picnic Faucets Clean in Garage Keezer?

I have a keezer in my garage. Is it a keezer if it isn't modified? Search me. Anyway, it has no collar. I use picnic faucets. This is not my main keezer, so I kept it simple. When I pour a beer, of course, some beer sticks to the faucet, and sometimes beer dribbles onto other things. I live in...

    Dumbest Kegging Problem Ever

Today I was trying to pump sanitizing solution from one keg to another when I realized nothing was moving. I opened up the donor keg, and I saw that the dip tube hose was ruptured...on both ends. This tube is supposedly silicone, and it had been sitting in sanitizing solution for months...

    New Brewer in Orlando, FL

Looks like it's an hour away from me, so half an hour closer than Hearts. But they don't have an online shop, so I guess I would have to hang out there while they put orders together.

What are their prices like? Hearts sells crushed grain for $1.65/#.

    Homebrewing and HOA's

It's like a school of fish hiring lamprey. I don't care about living in a cutesy neighborhood where everyone keeps the grass half an inch high and never opens their garage doors for more than 20 seconds. Freedom is precious. I have a neighbor who never does any kind of yard work. I used to...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

The smoker is cold, but the fryer was hot today. This thing is fantastic. Fried chicken and hush puppies.

    Homebrewing and HOA's

My rural neighborhood is technically a subdivision, but I think anyone who tried to start an HOA would soon be found in a landfill. A subdivision backs up to my farm. I met the HOA president the other day because we had to move some trees Milton and Helene knocked over. Listening to his HOA...
