    Checklist for kegerator setup

The valves just seem to be a plain shutoff (no check valve). The 3/8 barb can be replaced with a 1/4 barb, both of which must have the same threads per the micromatic web site replacement parts. The valve in #31 does look slightly different though.

    Acids to passivate SS?

I have some dry food grade citric acid. Do I mix a ratio of 5 grams of this with 95 grams of water to get the right concentration to passivate stainless steel? Obviously I would scale that ratio up to get the volume needed.

    Checklist for kegerator setup

The valve to the Y is a simple gasket seal so should be easy to remove. If you don't remove the Y from the regulator, you can still run a single line into the kegerator and split to 2 kegs inside then use the remaining connection on the outside for other purposes like counter pressure bottle...

    Checklist for kegerator setup

Those both look like standard right hand thread. The one into the regulator looks like there is some kind of sealant on the threads, so it might be a bit tight. Sometimes warming the joint with heat gun will soften the sealant. Don't put too much heat on the regulator body.

    Replaced failing bearings on mill

What flavor was your bearing? A bit crunchy! Borrowing a friends hull wrecker mill for a couple brews and it is only about a year old. Bearing on the drive roller is very noisy compared to the idle roller which sounds like new. I can feel a very slight play in the shaft and see a little rust...

    Replaced failing bearings on mill

from the pictures, it may have been cleaned with water forcing some wet fines into the bearings to corrode.

    Replaced failing bearings on mill

How old was that mill and how much use did it have? Not too hard maintenance but I am wondering how often this may be needed.

    AC to glycol chiller question

Looking closer, you can avoid the jumper by removing the yellow wire from terminal 2 on the switch and from the thermostat, then remove the other terminal from the thermostat (black-yellow and black) then connect it directly to switch terminal 2 where the yellow was. The advantage is...

    AC to glycol chiller question

Not an electrician, but if you join the 2 spades on the temp controller, that would bypass the temp so it would not shut off the unit when it senses surrounding air too cool. That looks like these 2 connectors, remove them and connect them together (the yellow, yellow-black, and black) Then...

Need Help Rigging Tank And 2 Mini Kegs

I have a similar issue where I am connecting to a paintball can instead of the 16 gram bulb. The adapter I got works great but I don't want to hang the can from the keg on the mini regulator. Ideally I would add a flex hose between the mini regulator and keg. The fittings connecting the mini...
