HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

just under LCDDisplay, the obvious one i think you can change is margin, if you change it from 5 to 0px it should remove it completely i think. Although it could be the gradient filling the box in which case try adjust the 2% #000000 to a higher value, maybe 100% (you will only need to change...

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

Rather than just subbing i'm really interested in this I've read the thread and can't really see anyone having posted a link to all the parts that are needed, so i've pulled some together a list of all the components but being a novice can someone double check, that all this would all work...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Which bit you edit i'm not sure, but here is basically what you've done, but without being embedded in a new page. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showpost.php?p=6932494&postcount=3581 What i'm not sure of though is where that particular LCD display is picking up it CSS from.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

I think it's more likely to be in the css file, I'm no expert either though. The css is a style sheet that dictates things like text colour, font type etc, basically how things are displayed. In this case I'm not sure whether it would be picking up the brewpi css of the raspberry pints css.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

You could ramp it up a little quicker if you wanted too. Typically I hold the temp for a few days to make sure it's fermented out, then up a couple after that. The more time you give it the better.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Someone started one and I posted in it but it never caught on, I'm sure there are more around the forum though. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=527974 How come you make daily adjustments to your profile and don't just input day 0 - 53 - day 3 - 53 (hold steady for 3 days) the...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

I used a big powerbank 20,000mah and it lasted a week and a bit of logging, but it was doing no more than logging, i.e. it wasn't toggling relays or anything which might drain it a bit more?

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

It makes perfect sense really adjusting temp by gravity. Maybe as an a UI option set target FG at x% attenuation raise to y-temp. What could also be good would be a RAG system for fermentation Red being OG and then Amber being expected attenuation and green being FG after 2-3 days but also...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

It's more a case of getting the right moment to shift. I have everything set up and tend to brew back to back so haven't disconnected my arduino fridge for about 2 years. I'm brewing a Shilling Ale soon for Ron Pattinsons Macbeth tour which will free rise so I hope that'll give me the...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

I've only used it a couple of times as a sousvide and it's a different unit as well but yeah once I've got it dialled in I'm more than happy to share my settings. Somewhat embarrassed to say for my main fermenter I'm still using an arduino. That will change though come release day.

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

When I upgrade will I still be able to use it as a sousvide between brews? Basically at the moment that means fridge constant at 60c or similar to heat the water in a crockpot.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Do you know which version of BrewPi you're running, you might want to make sure you have install the legacy version. Arduino users This new release did not fit into an Arduino and it is unlikely we can make it fit in the future. To keep using your Arduino version of BrewPi, and to prevent...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

I think you've misinterpreted the question. It's not what temp you keep your keezer at but the maximum low point it can reach under settings. When I cold crash a lager for example my fridge needs to try to cool to -8c to drop the fridge to freezing quickly so I set my minimum setting way below...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

I've set mine to -16c to + 30c for no other reason than I can lager and I don't plan to have it go any higher than 30c for fermentation.

Historical Beer: Kentucky Common "Kiss Yer Cousin" Rye Kentucky Common Ale

I've given this a try, using lager malt as base, but really wanted to try an "off style" sour mash so mashed this recipe for 40 hours, forgot to check the Ph, but it tasted sweet sour, i'll feedback and probably brew the same again without the sour mash to get a comparison!! really looking...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Out of interest are you just installing brewpi using the standard setup? This is clutching at straws somewhat It might be that you need to downgrade using the legacy From the brewpi forum Arduino users This new release did not fit into an Arduino and it is unlikely we can make it fit in the...
