    Wiring for 120v system

I've been using a Counter Top Brutus (a la jkarp) for brewing over the last couple of years with GREAT success. I'm now prepared to move my brewing into a dedicated space, so I wanted to do it up a little "fancier" than the standard outlets and light switches I've been using. I've consulted...

    Mini kegs & splitting batches

I counter pressure fill these from my larger kegs to take to family get togethers and the like. I have a CO2 tap for them and it all works just fine. I've never naturally carbed anything in them. They're not the most durable things in the world. They dent pretty easily.

    Yet Another eBIAB Build

Thanks for the reply. I've seen the contactors in many builds and read a few "reasons why" but it just never clicked. I think I have a pretty good understanding now.

    Yet Another eBIAB Build

Why do you say you should have gotten the DC version of the buzzer? Wouldn't that require a separate 12v power supply? Also (and I'm putting on my dunce hat here for a second), but why the contactors? Are they simply to convert the 240v to 120v to power the illuminated part of the switches or...

Exporting BSM files and saving and restoring

It's taken me awhile to get used to it, but I think I'm satisfied at this point. I bought it at the pre-sale price when first released and HATED it. I laid off of it for a couple of months and stayed with 1.4. I've been playing with new version again for a couple of weeks and getting used to it...

Exporting BSM files and saving and restoring

I think you can e-mail Brad at Beersmith for your old key. It's worth a shot, anyway.

Exporting BSM files and saving and restoring

Why can't you download the previous version? It's available: BeerSmith 1.4 Home Brewing Software If you still have your activation code it should work just fine.

    Soldering Stainless steel

What size hole did you drill for those dimples that cracked? Which reducer did you use for the tool? I just got everything together to start this project, but this concerns me. I really don't want to mess up my new stainless pot.

    PWM Stir Plate Plans

I have the exact same setup with the non LED fan. I got it for the same price as that one, but now see it's $8.99. It works great. I cleaned up all the wiring (took out everything that was unnecessary to my task because I'm just like that), wired in a switch, and put it all in a box. Even...

Water report for local spring I'm thinking of using

Thank you, gentlemen. Just the type of analysis I was looking for. This would save me money because the spring is free. It's a free flowing spigot that runs year round (unusual up here). It does taste fairly "minerally" but we're pretty used to that in this area. It actually tastes better than...

Water report for local spring I'm thinking of using

I've been using RO water treated as the Primer sticky directs for my beers. As such, my understanding of all of the chemistry is elementary at the very best. I was recently made aware of a local spring that I thought I might use for brewing to save me a few bucks and maybe give my beers a...

Anyone having trouble Downloading BN from iTunes?

The only thing I've run into is that they limit your downloads in a 24 hr. period. I don't know what the limit is, but I've run into it a few times when downloading older episodes of their shows.

    Lake superior water

You could contact Fitger's in Duluth, MN. I'm not sure how they treat it, but Lake superior is their water source.

    Which Home brew Podcast?

I like Brew Strong, Brewing TV, and The Jamil Show (or Can You Brew It). I'll have to check out the Basic Brewing Radio. I've listened to 3 or 4 Sunday Session shows and won't be listening again. I think I gave them a fair shake.
