I like, or rather need to do things for myself. I started years ago growing my own fruit trees and gardening. I also enjoyed good beer. So it was natural for me to see what ingredients I could grow and brew for myself. I also was a machinist for years and have some mechanical ability which enabled me to create a decent system. I grow 3 kinds of hops and use my own blackberries for a very good wheat beer I brew. I built a very nice kegerator with 3 on tap usually. I have a converted fermentation fridge and would like to convert my gravity fed system into a RIMS.
