I've got the same 8G pot as OP. This is how I plan on doing my next batch. Fill the 8G kettle with enough water to leave room for the ~14lb of grain. The other ~2G will go in another pot for a dunk sparge.
I too am planning on brewing this beer next weekend. Would you consider the current hop schedule enough? Or is it a bit "under-hopped"? A lot of people have said this is not a 'hop-bomb', but I tend to like hoppier, more aromatic beers. What would you change in this recipe to make it a bit more...
