How do you maintain your sourdough starter?

P.S. I forgot to mention, in the above post, then if you want to make more starter, all you need is 1 teaspoon of the dried starter to 1/4 cup of flour and 1/4 cup of water, then the next day or so, just feed it with 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of water and wait for it to go crazy. Then you will...

How do you maintain your sourdough starter?

One trick I learned is this if you are worried about losing starter. I got some that came from the Oregon Trail for free. They sent it to me dried. It was advised to make up your starter and when you have a really good amount with a healthy yeast supply, place some plastic wrap on a cookie...

Got free bottles to give away? Post 'em here!

Awww man! My car just had engine failure, and I am in Port Orchard but I have no way to get them. I am in serious need of bottles. What area of Tacoma are you in? Maybe I can see if someone I know that works in Tacoma can pick them up, or get a friend to drive me there. Don't recycle them...

I still have the blow out tube on it in the sanitizer solution, and so far it hasn't blown out, but it is very alive! I have a spray bottle filled with solution to spray things as well. So far so good. It is blowing lots of bubbles into the bucket and burping a lot :)

OK, just did the math for adjusting with the temps I took the original reading last night and it is high. It is at 1.061 This is going to be some very strong brew! I think I just made rocket fuel.

N00b! First batch in the morning question. Coopers IPA.

I went ahead and brewed last night (couldn't wait for today, ha ha!) and I just went ahead and used the whole 3lb bag of it. I still am learning about the hydrometer readings. I took them, wrote it all down and at what temp I took them, but I still am figuring out the math on my readings...

N00b! First batch in the morning question. Coopers IPA.

Hi there, greetings to all and thanks for reading this and thanks in advance to my question I purchased all the brew equipment today after reading up for over a month non-stop about brewing, have that part down. What I am confused about is... When I went to the brew shop I purchased a kit...
