    Chugger too loud!

I will try that first, thank you.

    Chugger too loud!

maybe it isn't so much the decibels, but the pitch. Pump is primed and bolted down. Model CPSS-IN-1 about 4 months old. It sounds like the weekly test of the emergency warning system on tv. I have not disassembleD it.

    Chugger too loud!

Has anyone built an enclosure or found a way to reduce the noise from their chugger pump? Without overheating of course. Surely I am not the only person annoyed by this sound. I recirculate during mash and then whirlpool with it so it is on quite a bit.

doug293cz you are awsome! Thanks again!

    120v /240v combination controller build

1.What is the switch that isn't labeled (to the right of the one amp fuse)? Emergency shut-off? 2. When running this on 120v do you know approximately how many watts would be generated by the 5500w (at 240v) element if on a 20 amp circuit? 3. What are the amp requirements for the pump and...

    120v /240v combination controller build

Thank you! I was going to run the pump and raspberry pi off the dedicated 120v because I was guessing that it would be to difficult to do off the 240v when only running it on 120v. I admit I don't know what some of the items in your schematic are, but I will look them up and study it more, and...

    120v /240v combination controller build

Has anyone tried/ done this? Any suggestions? Due to the fact that I am currently brewing out of my garage which only has 120v but plan to move to a brew shed in my back yard and add a 240v plug I want to build a combo system that would allow me the versatility to brew from 2 120v plugs...

    Beginning my EBIAB Brewery Build..

Nice work! It is a shame to hide that chiller though; I think all that copper looked cool. Are you happy with the height? I haven't built my stand yet and am debating how high I want it. Too high is harder to lift, but I want to be able to use gravity to get the last bit of wort out of...

    110V Single Vessel RIMS Build

Looking good! I am in the process of a very similar build, but I started at the other end. I have done one brew with propane and am going to upgrade to electric very soon. I am still conflicted about whether to go 120v or 240v. I am going to go with a raspberry pi controller using CraftBeerPi.

    BRBC Garage Brewery

Are you going to have the doors open while brewing? Not only would I be concerned about the evaporating moisture, but more importantly the Carbon Monoxide. I think you may wish you had gone electric instead. Your set up and garage look awesome! Good luck and enjoy!

    Keggle Grainfather/BIABasket style build

I heated up some water with PBW today to make sure everything is clean as possible and learned that using gas until converting to electric may be a problem. I put the valve and sightglass/thermowell right next to the holes that let water out of the ring around the bottom of the keg. When using...

    Keggle Grainfather/BIABasket style build

Here in Texas it is summer that makes brewing outside miserable. I want to be able to brew inside or out. I have done some more research and costs would be similar either way since I would need a spa panel etc. in order to go 240v. 240v would also require a controller prior to using; whereas...

    Keggle Grainfather/BIABasket style build

I forgot to mention the basket is from Utah bio-diesel; it was in their bargain bin (someone had a similar plan but didn't pay). There is plenty of room below and on the sides which means it takes about 13 gallons of water to get to the top of the basket. I haven't measured how many pounds of...

    Keggle Grainfather/BIABasket style build

As you can see in the last photo the whirlpool connection would be a leak hazard for larger batches. Fortunately I ordered another valve and received it the next day from Tx Brewing. Now I have to decide if I am going 120v or 240v. I would love to have the versatility of using regular...
