    Pumpkin ale

    nope. I scooped them out of the pumpkin, gave them a light rinse, coated them, roasted them, and added them directly to the boil for 1 hour. poured the wort through a strainer into the primary. I also used about 12 lbs of malt extract, sort of an imperial pumkin was what I was shooting for...

    Pumpkin ale (wheat ale)

    You can try coating some pumpkin seeds with cinnamon and brown sugar, roasting them, and using them in the boil instead of actual pumpkin. I did this last year and my pumpkin ale came out awesome.

    Last time I made a pumpkin ale I coated the seeds in brown sugar and cinnamon, roasted them and used that instead of the actual pumpkin. Best pumpkin ale I ever made.

    Never used liquid yeast, is there anything I need to know?

    I've never used a starter. I smack the pack and let it sit out for about 3-5 hours and pitch it when my wort has cooled to under 80. Never had any slow starts or problems.
