    star-san oil slick?

    Good Information. I was just about to ask the same question about the star-san slick. I just switched to the star-san and Saturday was the first time i used it in a carboy and didn't rinse it. I am always leery about "no rinse" cleaners and the rainbow slick on top of my beer was not making...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

    Saturday i will be brewing the first run of what I am hoping will be come my house Irish Red Ale. I should be a lightly hoped easy drinking ale (mostly for my SO).

    Thermometer suggestions?

    I am a big fan of this thermometer, it has a long lead so i can get it down in to carboys or hang it in my boil pot. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=120845. The heat resistant lead is also great for oven roasting and all other cooking needs.
