I think they taste good. I just wonder if I buy something other than the cheapest kit if anyone thinks it is better. Is there something notably different about the austin kits?

I've brewed two cooper's kits, the canadian blonde and the lager. They're pretty good but they still taste different then the liquor store beer. Are there other kits out there that are better or is it in my process (basically following the package instructions)?

Gelatin, eh? Is there any options for clarifying that are not animal derived products?

so it wouldn't really be siphoning because the force from the CO2 would pressure it (I am envisioning a closed system). It should transfer ok if it is really cold and i don't splash (by using a longer tube). That should keep the foam down right?

No, I guess I haven't tried :P How affordable is the keg setup you're refering to?

I was thinking of force carbonating in the carboy, then siphoning it off into glass bottles and then capping them.

So I've just tranfered my "Cooper's" Canadian Blonde Beer into the secondary fermenter so I get to see it's wonderful color. However It's pretty cloudy. Any suggestions for ensuring that it clarifies?
