The yeast bottle says if its 1.07 that would be a problem, but because its a lower volume it should be fine?
Attempted my first partial mash yesterday. Epic brew day.
Took about twice as long as i figured it would. It is not easy bringing 5 gallons to boil on the stove.
Anyway,
I was aiming for 4.5 gallons ~1.051
I ended with closer to 3 gallons @ ~1.07

Sounds like the basic idea is sound. And I think I will do the dunk sparge method and be sure to stir it up. That also seems like the easiest way. I designed my recipe around a 65% efficiency. Sounds about right?
Also, any comments on the recipe itself...
