- I started brewing in 1985. My wife gave me a mixed case of world beers for my birthday, which sparked a visit to the library, where I found two books, which led me to a local wine and beer making store. I was an original member of the Barley Bandits homebrew club in Orange, CA, and a former board member of the California Homebrewers Association. I also make mead. and I am currently trying to develop my skills with cider. I brew 5-gal, all-grain batches using a simple setup and process.
