    Man, I love Apfelwein

I would say wait. If nothing else, maybe lift it off the floor (say up on a milk crate or something), especially if you have tile or linoleum floors. Water takes a quite a while to get up to ambient temperature. RDWHAHB!

How many gallons of EdWort's Apfelwein have been made?

So did you only make a 1 gallon batch? Otherwise, this should be 15,796.

Do you trust the water coming out of your tap to drink? If so, why not brew with it?

    Hello from Central Illinois

I'd actually really like to go to meetings and such if for no other reason to get some advice from experienced individuals. But working 2:45 to 11:00 Sunday through Thursday kinda puts a damper on that.

    Frozen for 3 weeks

Considering that when we brew, we are producing CO2... But agreed, this is rather OT.

how to check Alcohol % after beer is already done.

I'm thinking it's somewhere in the range of 0% to 20%.

    Hello from Central Illinois

Thanks for all the welcomes! I saw where there was a local brewing club, but they meet on Monday nights. I work second shift at the Farm so that's kinda out of the questions.

    Fermentation aroma?

Women do have much more sensitive olfactory senses than men. Plus they like to complain more. :)

    Frozen for 3 weeks

30 years ago, "everyone" was predicting a new ice age. 10 years ago, "everyone" was predicting a new desert age (for lack of a better term). Nowadays, how about people just say that it's too hard to predict the future based on the limited observations that is direct, scientific measurement...

You're in college? Have you asked around at any of the local dorms/student housing/fraternities/sororities?
