Has anyone tried an extract version of this yet? I got really excited reading all about this recipe and wanting to try it, but have not made the leap to BIAB or all-grain yet.
I have a bottling bucket and spigot that came with my deluxe kit from Northern Brewer. I am looking to get a food grade elbow or something to just push fit on the inside of the spigot to get as much out while bottling without having to tip. What does everyone else use that have this...
How did the brew go on this one/how is fermentation going? Have you bottled or tasted yet? Looking at doing this version (extract) soon so I can have it ready this winter....
I am proud to say I believe my first day brewing was so far a success. I added some of the LME with about 15 mins left with some of my other additions that were in the recipe like you guys said. The carboy is sitting down in my basement at about 68-70 and has been bubbling in the airlock since.
I actually bought 6 one gallon jugs of Spring Water to use from the store the other day. What is reason behind using only 1/2 the LME at the start of the boil and the rest later?
