    LHBS prices vs buying online

    My LHBS is 2 hours away so after figuring gas in with everything it is so not worth making that drive.. Only thing about online is the shipping...Morebeer took 9 days to send my last batch... :( What is the best online store? I also used brewers best with my first kit, it only took a few days...

    Okay so that means my OG would be setting at 26 according to my hydrometer right? So what does that mean to my finish product....

    Fermentation can take 24 to 72 hrs to show visible signs.

    I started my irish stout last night and no activity noted in my airlock yet. Got my fermenter down to 70degrees, and keepin it there. I have talked to a few people that have said that sometimes it will not even bubble... My last batch which was my first bubbled like crazy up until the last few...

    The gravity on the hydrometer read at 9%.... Just moved the fermenter bucket to the back room.. On my first batch the airlock went nuts! It was bubbling constantly... It seems my bucket is sealed...

    My husband is a guinness man and we thought we would try a stout brew. Our first brew of american ale turned out very strong! Has good carbonation but hardly no head. So my questions are why is my airlock not bubbling on my stout and why did my ale not have a head. Thanks
