For Sale 3 gal All grain set up (Central TX)

For health reasons I'm no longer gonna be brewing. Here's what I've got. Would love to just sell the whole lot instead of piecing it out. Open to offers. I would consider trading the whole setup for guitars, bows, or "boomsticks" of similar value. I'm in Central TX between Waco and Austin. Will...

Just finished The Nature of Oaks: The Rich Ecology of Our Most Essential Native Trees by Douglas Tallamy. Just started reading The Twenty-Ninth Day: Surviving a Grizzly Attack in the Canadian Tundra by Alex Messenger.

    Oatmeal stout

Yeah thats pretty much what I was going for. I took a Guinness clone recipe and swapped barley with oats just to see what it would be like. Progress was the only appropriate hop I had on hand, otherwise I would have used something like EKG. I like this one a lot and this may be the recipe that I...

My first basic Saison style ale recipe

Update: So after letting this one sit and mellow out in a keg and slowly carbing it looks like this. Nice golden color, decent head, not too thin of a body, fantastic Belgian yeast aroma, hop profile is clean and simple, but maybe just a tad bit too high on the IBU's for this style so would...

My first basic Saison style ale recipe

UPDATE: It fermented out to 1.005 within 3 days (that's puts it about 7.5% ABV) which was exactly what what Brewers Friend said it should hit when I entered my recipe. This is a picture of a sample I took out after 5 days. It's hazy, but I don't mind that too much. Taste (even though it's still...

My first basic Saison style ale recipe

Since I live in Texas where it's pretty warm I thought I would attempt my first Saison style. I like the idea of being able to ferment at room temp and not having to use water baths/ice/fans to keep my brew within normal ale fermentation temps. I came up with a very basic recipe and really want...

    Azacca Pale Ale

This is the result about 3 weeks later. It actually turned out to be more of an Azacca IPA than a a Pale Ale. Pretty delicious though!

    Azacca Pale Ale

Thanks for the feedback! Since I don’t typically do a secondary and I use narrow necked glass carboys I probably won’t try the dry hop on this one. I like the idea of dry hopping but I’m working with a limited set up and like to keep things simple.

    Azacca Pale Ale

I just brewed this up today! This is for a 3.5 gallon batch. Just something I came up with to showcase Azacca hops. Please critique my recipe. Grain bill: Pale 2-row 6lbs 60L Crystal 2oz 120L Crystal 2oz Flaked Oats 4oz Mashed at 150F for 90min with 2.5 gallons of fridge filtered...

My first stout (my own recipe)

Yeah I don’t have a hydrometer to check my refractometer reading. I wasn’t necessarily shooting for a particular OG and this is the first time that I have ever actually tried to measure SG of my beer. I normally just throw it all in the mash tun and hope for the best. I usually am pretty...
