Anyone still using antique draft towers from the early 1900s?

I found some other items at antique shops, but it's unbelievable how much stuff you find at metal foundries. Here, at some junkyards, they stockpile metals to melt them down and make ingots for resale. They have large bins divided by metal: aluminum, bronze, copper... I used to spend afternoons...

Anyone still using antique draft towers from the early 1900s?

Here from Argentina. I used to collect antique serving equipment. Here are some photographs. I found most of it discarded and restored it myself. I find great pleasure in pouring my own beer on that old equipment.

    Flip Top Glass Bottles

Flensburger bottles are the best. A few years ago they were available in my town, and I can get a good supply of them. Just the right size for one dose.

converting a keg to a lid??

In my experience, except for the "D" type keg necks (American Sankey), all of them (A, G, S, M and U) fit the 62mm clamp lids just right. It's a standard clamp size. I use them for fermenting under pressure

filling a mini keg from a 5gal corny, critique my plan

I would make a small change to step 1, instead of water I would fill the barrel with sanitizer and then I would do an intermediate step between step 1 and step 2.- I would dislodge the water from the barrel by injecting co2 so the barrel is sanitized, purged and presurized.- Regarding the...

    CO2 Regulator

Once the regulator has been correctly set to the desired pressure, I find it better to work with the ball valve than with the knob that regulates the pressure. Especially if I have to change the keg and replenish with the same beer with the same carbonation. Shut-off valve with an integrated...

    Portable Glass Rinser?

This is my system. I use it on the kitchen counter. The drip tray is in a wooden board and has a glass rinser. The table is mounted on the square pipes that are seen in the last photo that, being cut diagonally, are not visible and raise the table approximately one inch. This height allows the...

    Wooden Kegs

Unless you get a "ploungeur" that allows you to work with co2.- They are antiques but can still be found here in the south of the continent.- I have used them very little (with my beer engine), they are showy but nothing compared to modern equipment.-

Paintball canister to 16g mini co2 connection

I had my adapters made on a lathe. Take the tube and the regulator to the turner who does it for you. I also adapted some regulators with paintball gun´s remote connectors.

    Dip tube length

those stainless steel bottles look fantastic. Another thing that comes to mind is some kind of container designed in 3D printing

    Dip tube length

From where the holes are cut there is no more than an inch of liquid left because the shell rests on the bottom dimple, so I was actually quite happy with the system. Of course the best thing would have been to find some kind of small stainless steel container but the only cheap solutions came...

    Adapter from commercial sanke coupler

Maybe you can go for a cleaning sockets like these: Keg Coupler Adapter for Beer Line Cleaning Kit | MoreBeer It tooks nothing more than attach a ball lock connector. Of course there are designed with cleaning purposes so there is the possibility of a turbulence/foam party.
